Although applied arts are often underestimated or marginalized by many, products from this brand are a perfect example that they can rival the most magnificent symphony. Delicate yet durable, plush, glossy, resistant to dirt, and above all, exceptional – these are the main features of W&W rugs.
The first steps of the New York-based company W&W took place in 2001 when Michael Mandapati decided to establish this exclusive brand.
Materials used include Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettles, hemp, and linen. Plants also participate in the dyeing process, which will surely appeal to all those who care about the ecosystem.
Each product is handmade in Nepal by highly trained weavers. Then, the rugs are transported to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to a higher amount of lanolin, they are softer, more resistant to dirt, and acquire a beautiful sheen.
