Odegard Carpets began its operations in 1987, revolutionizing the world of weaving craftsmanship. The company uses Himalayan wool from local sheep for its production. These sheep graze at altitudes above 4200 meters above sea level. Their wool is rich in lanolin, which makes OC rugs more resistant to dirt.
Interesting shades result from manual processing and dyeing. The creators' inspirations are a blend of Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and nature. Many motifs are inspired by the shape of tropical leaves or the spectacle of the setting sun over the majestic Himalayas.
All products from this company are handmade from silk and Himalayan wool yarns. The dyeing process occurs during a completely natural process using organic materials (including nuts, roots, and saffron), while maintaining the highest quality.
