Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for high-quality design combined with a long tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920 opening a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the innovative Sartori rug pattern started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These exciting rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a coveted item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it required opening a headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following a collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., the innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special rug, a synthesis of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.

All our rugs are entirely handmade using high-quality noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
