Ikunico has been around since 2017, when the owner opened his own artisan workshop dedicated to leather processing, continuing his father Giuseppe's family tradition. The founder's workshop is located in Gubbio, Umbria, a stone city where time seems to have stood still. All products are made from genuine Italian vegetable-tanned leather, certified and guaranteed to originate from Italy. The exceptionally high-quality leather and acid-free paper, also handcrafted by Fabriano paper masters, embody the essence of the premium brand.

Unique and unrepeatable, just like the products created by the maker. The light, tempered like a sword, bright and pure, reflects in the clean lines of the city’s buildings. Curved and slanted, it carries the passage of time, flowing with the density of warm and lively leather.

THE BEST RAW MATERIALS

All premium products are made from certified and guaranteed genuine Italian leather, tanned exclusively with natural tannins derived from plants. This process requires patience and experience, entrusted to skilled tanners from a consortium of authentic Italian vegetable-tanned leathers. Natural leather for those seeking high quality and style. The interior is lined with acid-free lamination paper or handmade paper by Fabriano Paper Masters, produced through a slow, labor-intensive process similar to that of over seven hundred years ago. Each piece is unique, with its own veins, tones, peculiarities, softness, and hardness—each with its own story, different from all others.

Everyday, the challenge is to bring objects and their uses to life through many stories that satisfy the heart and mind—beyond utility and fleeting consumption.
