The Italian company Mepra was founded in 1947, but the entrepreneurial history of the Prandelli family begins many years earlier. In 1901, brothers Bortolo, Francesco, and Giovanbattista established the first family business in Lumezzane valley, by the Gobbia river, to harness the kinetic energy of water to power machinery.

The Mepra brand was created in 1947 by the Prandelli brothers. The first factory producing 18/10 stainless steel cutlery was established in Lumezzane. Over generations, the Prandelli family has actively engaged in pursuing this passion. Products from this brand are found on the tables of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants worldwide.
