Simple and versatile, Extralight is a collection of desks and conference tables characterized by a basic metal frame and a lightweight top that easily fits into various work environments. The range offers a rich selection of materials and finishes, with coordinated shades across all surfaces. In fact, you can choose a single color for the top and structure or a blend of colors in an ideal chromatic combination. The top can be made of melamine wood, matte or glossy lacquered glass, marble, Fenix ​​NTM®, or veneered wood. The frame is painted in matte finish across the entire color palette from the catalog. The desk is available with or without a modesty panel, in a simple version, with a writing top, on a modular system, or on a mobile pedestal. Rectangular conference tables are available in various depths and can be configured with a shared central leg for channeling. Circular conference tables with a cylindrical metal base are available in several sizes. The collection integrates seamlessly with other Prof furnishing systems such as Profbox and Profslide containers, Profcase shelves, Table tables, Grace lamps, and all Profmood accessories, creating a complete and personalized work environment.

Prof Office was founded in 1995 from experience in the furniture industry, a family-run industrial reality that produces prestigious office furniture systems, deeply rooted in the northeastern Italian furniture district. Over the past twenty years, Prof’s economic development and growth path has allowed it to look at the international market, contributing to the dissemination of Italian design and high quality worldwide. Through consultations with architects and designers, Prof has strengthened its identity and expanded its product range.

Starting from designer execution collections, it then developed operational systems, reception solutions, and conference rooms, up to partition walls. Today, this allows offering complete and tailored furnishing solutions for every workplace.

HEADQUARTERS

The headquarters of Prof, along with the plant and offices, is located in Falzè di Piave, in the Treviso province, 70 kilometers north of Venice, in one of the most important industrial furniture districts in Europe. It covers a total area of approximately 8,700 sqm, of which 3,600 sqm are covered. The facility, specialized in manufacturing office furniture, is equipped for work in the wood department, assembly, packaging, warehousing, and shipping of finished products. The main building houses executive, commercial, technical, and administrative offices, conference rooms for client meetings, and an exhibition showroom of over 400 sqm, showcasing all collections of exclusive office furniture. In 2017, an expansion of over 1,800 sqm was completed, with 640 sqm dedicated to production, 330 sqm to new offices, and 830 sqm to a new showroom.

PRODUCTION
Prof’s manufacturing is exclusively carried out at the Falzè di Piave plant in Treviso and always based on maximum respect for people, the land, and materials. Strong local roots and innate “know-how,” which has evolved with new technologies, have allowed Prof to confirm and solidify its success by continuously blending tradition and innovation, adapting to new socio-economic changes. Prof’s production organization is focused on “just in time,” enabling reliability, inventory reduction, and increased quality and customer service. The entire Prof network operates mainly within Italy’s manufacturing district, where the majority of raw material and semi-finished product suppliers are located. All products are designed and made entirely in Italy to ensure a standard of consistent excellence.

DESIGN

At Prof, every element of equipment is based on an understanding of the changing dynamics of the workplace. Research has always been a strategic element of the company's development policy and is expressed through an internal Design Department working closely with external designers. These are continuously updated alongside technological and legislative evolution. Prof models are entirely designed and manufactured in Italy, fully compliant with European safety and occupational health standards. For this reason, Prof collections stand out for their high design, ergonomics, and functionality.

DESIGN CONSULTING
Prof provides comprehensive design and advisory services, including analysis of client requirements, layout studies with targeted and personalized equipment proposals, along with technical drawings and rendering.

PERSONALIZATION

Prof can offer and execute personalized services on standard production models: from manufacturing oversized components, sourcing new materials and finishes, to creating samples and prototypes. Thanks to its versatile production capabilities, Prof has developed specialized knowledge in non-standard consumable materials, handling projects from small and medium-sized to highly personalized creations.

AFTER-SALES SERVICE

Thanks to the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008 certification system for managing non-compliant products and claims, Prof maintains strict control over issues encountered during assembly and use. The company provides technical and after-sales support services, including full information, modifications, and repairs.

BESPOKE PRODUCTS

Prof’s broad manufacturing flexibility allows, in addition to mass production, the realization of custom-designed projects tailored to specific client needs. The Design Department can support clients or designers in developing and producing unique products, both functional and aesthetic, with fully customized finishes.
Careful advice at every stage: targeted design, with meticulous material selection and attention to detail, culminating in construction step-by-step, up to the final installation.
Production is fully adapted to individual needs.

ENVIRONMENT

In response to increasing international market competitiveness through improving customer satisfaction and loyalty, and streamlining internal production processes, Prof obtained ISO 9001: 2008 certification in 2012. Adopting a quality management system is a strategic decision for Prof, enabling more concrete business goals. In a world constantly seeking quality and increasingly sensitive to environmental issues, Prof focuses on maximum experience in designing and manufacturing office furniture with respect for the environment. From carefully selected raw materials, through the entire processing and packaging process, to disposal, everything aims to protect health and conserve energy.

As a result, Prof uses certified E1 panels in accordance with European regulations on formaldehyde emissions, both for raw materials and laminates.
Each panel is then marked by the Eco Panel Consortium, ensuring that semi-finished products are produced through the reuse of wood in the manufacturing process, which does not involve tree felling.

Obtaining ISO 14001: 2004 certification in 2012 confirms Prof’s commitment to establishing its own environmental management system, regulating the impact of production activities on the environment and striving for continuous improvement. In 2015, during the company's twenty-year anniversary, Prof introduced a new green logo to confirm and identify its commitment to sustainable environmental development as an integral part of its operations and growth process. In 2017, the company reaffirmed its “eco-friendly” strategy, emphasizing its values of “sustainable” and “responsible,” and switched to a new energy provider (Dolomiti Energia) that sources 100% from renewable sources.
