The Baia armchair is one of the modules making up the living room proposal designed by The Récréation for Marioni. Original and distinctive, with a creative design, it is the perfect choice of furniture for a dynamic yet sophisticated style. Carefully crafted details make the Baia armchair unique, and several modules are available.

Construction: wooden, filled with polyurethane foam of varying density, covered with synthetic resin.

MARIONI is a family story
The brand, now in its third generation, was founded in Florence in 1966 by the founder Paolo Marioni's intuition. The initial artisanal character of the workshop quickly evolved and since the 1980s has taken on its current corporate form. Starting with ceramic materials, the product lines for interior furnishings were gradually developed, paying particular attention to color combinations, finishes, and decorations. Their objects are associated with creative details and manual craftsmanship.
After Paolo's premature death in 1992, his son Simone took over the brand and led its development and expansion into international markets.
It was during this time that the Cultura d’Arredo collection was launched, showcasing an extraordinary combination of ceramic/fabric and heralding success through precise market positioning: Marioni offers its clients a range of elegant products inspired by the past, but with a touch of charm, reflecting the uniqueness, authenticity, and originality of “made in Italy”.
The 2000s brought consolidation of distribution across all countries and the beginning of an organizational and managerial evolution that led the company to face new digitalization challenges, including the creation of its own archive of 3D models ready for AR/VR experiences.
In 2018, Vittoria, the founder’s daughter, joined the company as head of communications and quality, marking further generational evolution. This way, the company brings fifty years of experience into the present, where artisanal production and management concepts are shared with the most refined and demanding clients seeking entirely Italian luxury.
