The painting by Salvatore Marinelli is a beautiful reinterpretation of a work by the Dutch Baroque painter Pieter Claesz, one of the most renowned specialists in still life, with banquet scenes as the central theme. In Marinelli's painting, the colors of gold and silver stand out distinctly against the dark background, and on the golden velvet tablecloth, the objects are depicted in life size. At the center of the scene is a large and elegant goblet, with a silver overturned jug on one side and a bunch of black and white grapes on the other.
