Salvatore Marinello's painting is a beautiful reinterpretation of a work by Dutch Baroque painter Pieter Claesz, one of the most renowned specialists in still life, whose main theme is banquet scenes. In Marinello's painting, the colors of gold and silver stand out clearly against a dark background, and on a golden velvet tablecloth, objects are depicted at life size. At the center of the scene is a large, elegant goblet, with a silver inverted jug on one side and a bunch of black-and-white grapes on the other.
