Sartori is an Italian company born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and a long tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, as the modern design of Sartori rugs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These elegant rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a coveted item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that a headquarters was opened in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following a collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved the way: repurposing old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, aligned with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly suits contemporary environments and the needs of modern furniture.
