Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening their first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, as the modern design of Sartori rugs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These elegant rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open a headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following a collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved the way: repurposing old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, aligned with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and highly distinctive rug, a noble blend of materials that fits perfectly into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.
