These sheep graze at over 14,000 feet above sea level, and their wool is rich in lanolin. This unique feature makes OC rugs more resistant to dirt.
Interesting colors are the result of manual processing and dyeing. Inspirations for creating the rugs include Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and nature. Many motifs are inspired by tropical leaf shapes or the spectacle of the sun setting over the snowy peaks of the Himalayas.
The rugs are handmade from highly selected silk and Himalayan wool yarns. Wool dyeing is a completely natural process. Only organic materials such as nuts, roots, or saffron are used, while maintaining the highest quality.
