In the 1950s, when the modern design of Sartori carpets started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open headquarters in China. A significant project was launched in 2008. Following a collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: using old carpets to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This gave rise to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and sewn by hand. This results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that fits perfectly into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.
