Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for high-quality design and a centuries-old tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling exquisite rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the innovative Sartori rug pattern gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These prestigious rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it required opening headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., the innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, aligned with a fresh and youthful style. This led to the creation of the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and highly distinctive rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.
