Description

The Valencia armchair is inspired by the Planetarium building, designed by renowned architect Santiago Calatrava. This modern armchair reflects geometric shapes combined with sober lines, creating a simple yet stunning piece with an organic and fluid structure.

Clean lines and pleasing forms were the main elements borrowed from the architect to create this contemporary chair. Crafted by skilled artisans, American walnut wood with a natural lacquer and high-quality materials, available in various colors, showcase this piece at its best. It transforms into the perfect modern chair for your luxurious space. Valencia is part of the World Architects Collection.

Malabar Workshop was established in 2012, alongside the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the elegant World Architects furniture collection. It has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory collections.

Malabar has left its mark at the most prestigious international fairs, such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing design.

Malabar furniture production originates from the Porto area, in northern Portugal, a region with a long and strong tradition of handcrafted products.

The identity of this exceptional brand is rooted in the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.

International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted craftsmanship, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of exclusive furniture.

Various techniques in working with natural wood produce incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of design is combining neutral and black colors.

Vivid and striking colors dominate, significantly deviating from classic and stereotypical furniture.

Besides wood, the brand uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.

The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in bold furniture designs.

The company's name is derived from the black pepper Malabar. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The value of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route.

Even today, Malabar sets very individual design boundaries and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely luxurious.

And these are exactly the products we love and bring to the My Luxury Products platform.

What raw materials does Malabar use?

The company employs the most refined types of wood, including: ebony, walnut, American walnut, oak, ironwood, elm, basswood, olive wood, bird’s eye, burl, poplar, satinwood, and ash.
