The first is based on the idea that everyday objects must be aesthetic but primarily functional, crafted in an elegant, simple manner - with symmetrical lines, from solid materials, where each element in the final form is carefully considered.
Art Nouveau is the complete opposite of Thistle - decorated items are a combination of functionality and artistic craftsmanship, refined Art Deco, asymmetry.
Century, on the other hand, is expressive, feminine, and highly original due to its rich references to various eras in design history.
