Actively involved in all major racing events worldwide from 1927 to 1933, including Grand Prix races, endurance competitions, and mountain climbing championships, Mercedes-Benz supercharged sports cars of the S/SS/SSK/SSKL types proved to dominate the racing circuits of that era in an unprecedented way. They were affectionately nicknamed “white elephants” in admiration of their overwhelming performance.
The success of these powerful machines was closely linked to a long list of famous drivers. Among them were Hans Stuck, Carlos Zatuszek, Manfred von Branchitsch, and Bernd Rosemeyer. But they were overshadowed by one man — Rudolf Caracciola, Titan of the Wheel.
Rudolf Caracciola participated in the 1931 Mille Miglia race, driving a racing SSKL with starting number 87, which was about 125 kg lighter than the SSK model. After covering 1365 km, Caracciola was delighted to have crossed the finish line without Italian drivers ahead of him and to have set a new sensational time in this world-famous endurance race, which took place on the most beautiful track in the world.
After conducting extensive and costly research, CMC managed to uncover the original condition of the winning car from that time. This information is used during the creation of an extremely detailed metal model composed of over 1885 parts.
Noteworthy are the upgraded wheels, whose spokes made of stainless steel are now mounted with rivets for the first time.

Since 1995, CMC has had its own manufacturing facility with highly qualified engineers and staff in China. The result of months of research are various models of classic cars, assembled by hand from over 1800 individual parts. The brand uses high-quality materials to fully preserve the “faithfulness to the original” of each vehicle model.
The company focuses on all major and popular collector scales: 1:12, 1:18, 1:24, 1:43. The first model produced by the company was in 1:24 scale — the iconic Mercedes-Benz SSK from 1930. Built in 1995, it has won many prestigious awards.
Each individual element is carefully assembled by hand. Instruments on the dashboard are mounted separately. The seats are covered with fabric or leather. The floor lining is laid inside and in the trunk. The replicas replicate even the smallest details in accordance with the original plans of the vehicle.
