Description
At the end of the 1920s, a new era of truck production began at the Daimler-Benz factory in Gaggenau. In 1932, Mercedes-Benz introduced its first series of trucks, which were standardly equipped with a Diesel engine. It was a bold initiative and it paid off. In a short time, the reliable and efficient Diesel engine replaced the widely used Otto engine of that era.
After the global economic crisis of the late twenties, a revival of industry was lurking everywhere. Daimler-Benz AG did not waste time developing new, innovative commercial vehicles at its Gaggenau factory, which gained fame for its technical efficiency and reliability. The offer of Diesel-powered trucks at that time was nothing short of revolutionary.
Based on our platform truck replica, we also offer the Lo 2750 version with a flatbed frame covered with a tarpaulin. The tarpaulin of the model is tied with a piece of string passing through brass U-shaped hooks protruding from the eyelets of the tarpaulin, and is tied along the central line of the rear tailgate. The tarpaulin is removable, and the loading possibilities are virtually unlimited. Masterful finishing in three shades of green, red, and black ensures a harmonious combination of the appearance of this impressive truck replica.
As a tribute to co-founder Herbert Nickerl of CMC, his name is inscribed on the tarpaulin, as if a person was moving ahead of their time, which we believe he was.
Information about Classic Model Cars (CMC)
Stylish products combined with the highest quality finish give us the synonym of the German brand Classic Model Cars. It is a true nod to handcrafted products that impress with their unique elegance and luxury.
CMC is one of the leading brands producing miniature vintage cars. The company creates classic and collector’s models using authentic materials and fabrics.
Since 1995, CMC has had its own manufacturing plant with highly qualified engineers and staff in China. The result of months of research are various models of classic cars, assembled manually from over 1800 individual parts. The manufactory uses high-quality materials to fully preserve the “faithfulness to the original” of each car model.
The manufactory focuses on all major and popular collector scales: 1:12, 1:18, 1:24, 1:43. The first model produced by the company was in 1:24 scale — the iconic Mercedes-Benz SSK from 1930. It was built in 1995 and has won many prestigious awards.
Each individual element is carefully assembled by hand. Instruments on the dashboard are installed separately. The seats are covered with fabric or leather. The floor lining is laid inside and in the trunk. The replicas replicate even the smallest details in accordance with the original plans of the vehicle.
