The vehicles were powered by a 6.3-liter V8 fuel-injected engine producing 250 HP. Thus, the limousine weighing 2.6 tons could reach speeds of up to 205 km/h. During its peak popularity, the 600 Pullman was the fastest serially produced sedan in the world.

The comfort of the vehicles was enhanced by pneumatic suspension, an extensive hydraulic power steering system, electrically adjustable heating and ventilation systems, air conditioning, hydraulically adjustable seats, hydraulic windows, and sunroofs. For interior decoration, customers could choose from various finishes with noble wood, premium velvet, or leather upholstery. At the rear, there was also a bar with a refrigerator, a car telephone, and a sliding partition.
Thanks to this luxurious car, Daimler-Benz made a loud splash among the international elite, and for decades, the 600 Pullman was a benchmark that represented class in its purest form.
