Maserati 300S Sports Car, 1956

Throughout its history, Maserati has always been involved in racing on the open road. In 1955, the renowned company with the trident logo created the 300 S, a racing car that never failed
to achieve top finishes, including numerous victories in international races.

The fame and glory brought by the 300 S, along with its commercial success, made this vehicle one of the most successful racing cars in Maserati’s history.

The Maserati 300 S, which incorporated many features of the Maserati 250 F, the successful precursor of Formula 1, quickly gained a reputation as a highly competitive sports car. It was also adorned with a beautiful body by Carrozzeria Fantuzzi. Numerous private racing teams and famous drivers of the era celebrated impressive successes with the 300 S, powered by a very strong six-cylinder inline engine with 260 HP.

Our original car featured a right-hand drive, as all 300 S models were designed with this layout. Built in 1956, it had a medium-length nose and closed air intakes beneath the headlights. Unique features of this original vehicle include side-mounted air vent grilles. Other notable features are the 5-speed transmission and the beautiful wavy front windshield frame. Both of these features were installed only twice during the entire production run of 26 (27) units of the 300 S ever made. Additionally, two leather straps intended for securing the engine hood were mounted on the remarkable winged badges on the fenders.

CMC has faithfully recreated these details, demonstrating its commitment to quality and authenticity. An example is the drum brake, which is a masterpiece of replication. The star-shaped zinc alloy drum housing is equipped with cooling fins and alternating holes to facilitate heat dissipation and water splash drainage.
