Description
Majestic is a homage to the modernist movement from the early 20th century, serving as a reminder of cafés for conversations and exchange, where intellectual elites such as Fernando Pessoa proposed ideas about national culture and politics.
The contemporary aesthetic movement was materialized in the elegant yet subtle and minimalist lines of the modern Majestic table. The majestic, contemporary Majestic table with a noble finish in gold leaf and black piano lacquer resembles a café, which inspired its name.
The Malabar brand was founded in 2012, alongside the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the elegant World Architects furniture collection. It has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory collections.
Malabar has left its mark at the most prestigious international fairs, such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, or Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing.
Malabar’s design originates from the Porto area, in northern Portugal, known for its long-standing tradition of handcrafted products.
The identity of this luxury brand is based on the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.
International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that guide such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted execution, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of elegant furniture.
Various techniques of working with natural wood produce incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of the design is the combination of neutral and black colors.
Juicy and vivid hues dominate, significantly deviating from classic and stereotypical furniture.
Besides wood, the manufacturer uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.
The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly visible in the bold furniture designs.
The company’s name itself comes from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The value of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route.
This remains true today, as Malabar continues to define very individual design boundaries and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are highly liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely exclusive.
And these are exactly the kinds of products we love and introduce to the My Luxury Products platform.
