The brand, now in its third generation, was founded in Florence in 1966 by the founder Paolo Marioni’s intuition. The initial artisanal character of the workshop quickly evolved and since the 1980s has taken on its current corporate identity. Starting with ceramic materials, the company gradually expanded its interior accessories lines, paying particular attention to color combinations, finishes, and decorations. After Paolo’s early death in 1992, his son Simone took over the company and led its development and expansion into international markets.
This was the time of the Cultura d’Arredo collection launch, showcasing an extraordinary combination of ceramics and fabric, which heralded success through precise market positioning: Marioni offers its clients a range of luxurious products that reference the past but with a touch of charm, reflecting the uniqueness, authenticity, and originality of “made in Italy”.
The 2000s brought consolidation of distribution worldwide and the beginning of an organizational and managerial evolution, leading the company to face new digital challenges, including the creation of a 3D archive of models ready for AR/VR experiences.
In 2018, Vittoria, the founder’s eldest daughter, joined as head of communications and quality, marking further generational evolution.
