Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and ancient tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, the second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when Sartori's innovative rug designs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These exciting rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a coveted item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening a headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. Thus, the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special rug, made from noble materials and perfectly suited to contemporary environments and the needs of modern furniture.
All of our rugs are entirely handcrafted using high-quality noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori. Today, Sartori is an international brand selling high-quality, valuable rugs worldwide and serving as a benchmark for Italian-designed rugs. Rugs are made from wool and banana silk. Sartori products are not only a guarantee of the highest quality but also a work that embodies passion, skill, and creativity in Italy.
