Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and ancient tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling wonderful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the modern design of Sartori carpets started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These prestigious carpets gained recognition worldwide, becoming a coveted item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Since collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., the innovative idea has paved the way: using old carpets to create something completely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This led to the creation of the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and very special carpet, a synthesis of noble materials that fits perfectly into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.

Absolutely all our carpets are handcrafted entirely from exceptionally noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
