Description
The modern Horizon table resembles stories of Portuguese maritime explorations. Inspired by the divine vision of new lands seen from distant waters, this contemporary table was designed with organic shoreline contours in mind.
The modern piece combines walnut root with black lacquer. The gold leaf on the inner surface is more than just decoration; it indicates the area intended for use as a module, complemented by other variations.
Founded in 2012, Malabar brand introduced a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the stylish World Architects furniture collection. It has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory collections.
Malabar has showcased its mark at major international fairs such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for visibility.
Malabar’s furniture production comes from the Porto area, in northern Portugal, known for its long-standing tradition of handcrafted products.
The identity of this unique brand is rooted in the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.
International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted craftsmanship, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of exclusive furniture.
Various techniques used in creating products from natural wood produce incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of the design is the combination of neutral and black colors.
Vivid and striking hues dominate, significantly diverging from classic and stereotypical furniture.
Besides wood, the manufactory uses brass, gold and silver leaf, and other high-quality raw materials.
The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in the bold furniture designs.
The company’s name itself derives from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The value of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route.
This remains true today, as Malabar continues to set highly individual design boundaries and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely exclusive.
And these are exactly the kinds of products we love and bring to the My Luxury Products platform.
