Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop appears to be completely independent of the trends that have dominated the world over the years. Its main guiding principle is a commitment to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of experienced artisans.
The founders firmly reject the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would cause the loss of identity in the products made. Therefore, their company's philosophy places special emphasis on the employed personnel. This does not mean, however, that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are highly desirable, provided they do not conflict with the existing philosophy and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike others, the various stages of knife production are not carried out by specialized groups of artisans, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The highest quality materials are used in production — blades are made of steel, while handles are made from bison, buffalo, deer horns, or 'bosso' wood.
The owners encourage that their products, despite being intended for everyday use, are treated with proper respect, which guarantees their longevity. Each of them is a small, unique work of art.
