The combination of these two highly creative individuals has resulted in a distinctive and fresh perspective on art. They proudly emphasize that Ongaro & Fuga is rooted in centuries-old tradition, reviving the magic and elegance of Venetian mirrors.

Their talent has been inherited by their son Julian, who continues the family traditions. Through collaboration with renowned artists and designers, he creates a bridge to the future. This is a great homage to multi-generational family workshops and craftsmanship. Julian believes that every cloud or colorful Italian façade reflecting in the lagoon waters provides vibrant inspiration for new projects. Many of these majestic mirrors are faithful reproductions of historic pieces. Ongaro & Fuga is part of the Consorzio Promovetro di Murano – an important consortium affiliated with Confartigianato Venezia and Confindustria Venezia. For over twenty years, they have been actively promoting the image of artistic glass to preserve and defend the thousand-year-old Murano glassmaking tradition. This is a vital initiative that does a lot of good for cultural heritage. Ongaro & Fuga are proud to hold the Promovetro certification for producing their mirrors on Murano.

That’s why Ongaro & Fuga’s exquisite mirrors come with a premium price. The craftsmanship often exceeds 100 hours and can include thousands of decorative elements. For centuries, artisans have driven the evolution of the premium industry, shaping the final appearance of each piece with their own hands. Everything begins with a sketch on paper. Then, the glass is gradually shaped to fit the design, using very delicate and smooth diamond grinding stones. Step by step, they refine sharp edges and uneven surfaces.
