Description
In this project, we drew inspiration from ancient Greece. The years 900-700 BC mark a period of dramatic transformation in Greece. Trade opened up between the Greek city-states and regions of Asia Minor, southern Italy, and Sicily. Along with it came a cultural revival in poetry, architecture, and art. Today, Italy remains incredibly rich in culture, across all fields of art, including music, visual arts, and film. Although Momento Magico references ancient times, it also nods to modern music and film, such as Roberto Rossellini's Symphony of Black from 1962.
Ancient and modern. This is the inspiration behind Momento Magico.
The historical background of this pen is expressed through a fresco on its central band, representing decoration from the period of artistic awakening known as the "geometric art." Five special resins were chosen for the production of this writing instrument, finished with metals that illustrate the artistic glory of this extraordinary period in history. The color palette of the materials is inspired by Rossellini's film and moments captured within it.
Millefiori means "a thousand flowers" and is also a glassmaking technique famous among Murano glassmakers. We selected this resin as a representation of autumnal flowers, translated into this exquisite millefiori craftsmanship.
Momento Magico Millefiori is available with gold or silver finishes.
