The Italian brand Mepra was founded in 1947, but the entrepreneurial history of the Prandelli family began many years earlier. In 1901, brothers Bortolo, Francesco, and Giovanbattista established the first family company Prandelli in the Lumezzane valley, on the banks of the Gobbia river, to harness kinetic energy from water to power machinery.
