Sartori is an Italian company born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for high-quality design with a centuries-old tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, a second in Rovigo, selling home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the modern pattern of Sartori rugs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These luxury rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a coveted item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening a headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something completely new and give them a second life, in a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special rug, made of noble materials and perfectly suited to contemporary environments and modern furniture needs.

Absolutely all our rugs are handcrafted entirely using exceptionally noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
