Sartori is an Italian company born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for high-quality design with a centuries-old tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, as the modern pattern of Sartori rugs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These luxurious rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open a headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following a collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special rug, a synthesis of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.

All our rugs are entirely handmade using exceptionally noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
