The philosophy of Berti Knives, a brand producing exclusive knives for various purposes, is different. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop seems to be entirely independent of the trends that have prevailed worldwide over the years. Its main guiding principle is fidelity to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of experienced artisans.
The owners strongly oppose the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the products. Therefore, their company's philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed staff. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to changes. Changes are very welcome, provided they introduce elements that do not conflict with the current vision and can withstand years of quality testing.
Unlike others, the various stages of knife creation are not handled by specialized groups of artisans, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, while handles are made from materials including buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, and 'bosso' wood.
