We are pleased to announce new products from the exceptionally luxurious brand Ongaro & Fuga, founded in 1954 by Franco Fuga and his wife Tullia Ongaro. The collaboration of these two highly creative individuals has resulted in a bold and fresh perspective on art. They proudly emphasize that Ongaro & Fuga is a centuries-old tradition, reviving the magic and prestige of Venetian mirrors.

Their talent was inherited by their son Julian, who continues the family traditions. Through collaboration with international artists and designers, he creates a bridge to the future. This is a tribute to family and multi-generational craftsmanship. Julian believes that every cloud or colorful Italian façade reflecting in the lagoon waters provides vibrant material for new designs. Many of these luxurious mirrors are faithful reproductions of antique pieces. Ongaro & Fuga is part of the Consorzio Promovetro di Murano – a very important consortium that is a member of Confartigianato Venezia and Confindustria Venezia. They have been actively promoting the image of artistic glass for over twenty years, aiming to preserve and defend the thousand-year-old Murano glass art. This is a highly significant initiative that does great work for cultural heritage. Ongaro & Fuga are proud to hold the Promovetro certification for producing their mirrors on Murano.

How are these famous mirrors made?

It is an extraordinary craft. The reflection of this beauty is the result of very long work—created by hands, heart, and soul. That is why Ongaro & Fuga artistic mirrors command a high price. The craftsmanship involved often exceeds 100 hours and can include thousands of decorative elements. This is true luxury and a testament to the strength of European family workshops. For centuries, artisans have driven the evolution of the premium industry, shaping the final appearance of each piece with their hands. Everything begins with a sketch on paper. Then, the glass is gradually shaped to fit the design, using very delicate and smooth diamond grinding stones. Step by step, the sharp edges and imperfections are refined. From a brilliant idea, a luxurious harmony emerges that combines tradition with modernity! This is magic—these mirrors, if desired, can become the focal point of your interior.
