The Versailles model in the Chocolate colorway is made from Himalayan wool blended with silk.
Although functional art is often pushed to the margins by many, W&W products are the perfect proof that it can be as beautiful as the most exquisite symphony. Delicate yet durable, soft, glossy, stain-resistant, and above all unique – these are the features of W&W rugs.
The beginnings of W&W’s activities in New York date back to 2001, when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company unlike any other.
The production uses, among other materials, Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettle, hemp, and linen. For dyeing, mainly plants are used, which will appeal to all those who care about the ecosystem.
Each product is made in Nepal, where highly trained workers craft them by hand. Then, the rugs are sent to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to an increased content of lanolin, these products are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a beautiful sheen.
