Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and ancient traditions of hand-tied knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful carpets in Verona, opening their first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when Sartori's innovative carpet designs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These exciting carpets gained recognition worldwide, becoming coveted items in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open headquarters in China. A significant project was launched in 2008. Since collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., a modern concept has been paving the way: using old carpets to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and sewn by hand. This process results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that fits perfectly into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.
All our carpets are handcrafted from high-quality noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori. Today, Sartori is an international brand selling high-quality, valuable carpets worldwide and serving as a reference point for Italian-made designer carpets.
