The design of Malabar furniture originates from the Porto region in northern Portugal, an area with a long and strong tradition of handcrafted products.

The identity of this prestigious brand is based on the national architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries. International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that guide such original companies. The company's name comes from the Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history after the discovery of the Cape. Raw materials used by Malabar?

The company employs the most exclusive types of wood, including: ebony, walnut, American walnut, oak, ironwood, elm, basswood, olive wood, bird’s eye, irregular, poplar, satinwood, and ash.

Malabar also uses ancient lacquer techniques. First, copper, gold, silver, pink, and tiger-colored leaf are applied, then lacquered.

The types of glass used by the manufacturer include: dark glass, smoked, gold, antique, and antique brown. The marble varieties are diverse, including: Sahara, Gray Kenzo, Nero Marquina, Portoro, Gris Douro, Black Gold, Guatemala Verde, Tiger’s Eye, Ochre, Calacatta Vagli, Estremoz, Carrara Gold, Carrara, White Extremez, and Travertine.
