Description
How to define and characterize the Brink & Campman manufactory? The answer is exceptionally simple – it’s extraordinary creativity and a keen sense for design. The Dutch company has been designing and manufacturing high-quality original carpets for decades. Most of them are produced in the factory in Lichtenvoorde. All models come from the Brink & Campman design studio. In addition to their own collections, the manufactory also creates rug collections for renowned brands in the fashion and interior design worlds. The design studio collaborates with designers from these brands, resulting in recognizable collections full of iconic patterns that will surely catch the eye in your elegant interior.
Brink & Campman’s history is very important to Dutch craftsmanship. The brand was founded in 1987 and today leverages over 100 years of experience, both domestically and internationally! The factory in Lichtenvoorde produces modern carpets made using traditional crafts. This is the essence of innovative approaches to creating premium goods. It combines history, experience, and the creativity of young people. The craftsmanship does not develop overnight. That’s why multi-generational manufactories make excellent use of their rich traditions. Drawing from old craft traditions is a nod to true manual work. For example, Axminster rugs are produced using traditional weaving techniques. Mixing thick wool yarns with a special dyeing process creates a unique carpet! Thinner yarns combined with shiny eucalyptus fibers produce original and intriguing patterns.
In the Netherlands, carpets like Stone and Twinset are also produced using tufting techniques. The yarn used gives these carpets their solid appearance. Additionally, this technology offers the possibility to choose shapes and sizes according to individual preferences.
Yara, Nima, and Yeti from the Brink & Campman collection are hand-woven in Nepal and India. The use of the finest yarns in this traditional technique gives these luxurious carpets a beautiful appearance. It is craftsmanship that plays such an important role in hand-knotting, which can be wonderfully combined with modern design. Hand-woven subtle carpets complement various Brink & Campman collections. All feature flat weaving techniques, and the variants within the collection are highly diverse. While Kashba most closely resembles traditional Kilims with striking patterns and vibrant colors, Marble and Cobble are of a completely different kind. Using thick, rolled wool yarns in rich shades, they create textures that evoke a sense of luxury and durability.
