Gladys armchair, made from solid wood, with a frame filled with high-density polyurethane foam. Also available in custom sizes, with fabric or leather upholstery. Additional options include adjustable firmness of the cushions and a choice of different wooden legs. The cover is fully removable.
Technical data
Construction: frame made of solid beech wood, springy thanks to elastic rubber straps.
Structural filling: high-density polyurethane foam with varied density, an elastic top layer that, combined with the bottom layer, provides increased softness over time.
Seat filling: high-resilience foam with variable density, covered with soft, channelled goose down. Removable seat cover.
MARIONI is a family story
The brand, now in its third generation, was founded in Florence in 1966 by the founder Paolo Marioni's intuition. The initial craft-based workshop quickly evolved and since the 1980s has adopted its current corporate character. Starting with ceramic materials, the company gradually expanded its interior accessories lines, paying special attention to color combinations, finishes, and decorations. Their objects are associated with creative details and manual craftsmanship.
After Paolo's premature death in 1992, his son Simone took over the brand and led its development and international expansion.
During this time, the Cultura d’Arredo collection was launched, showcasing an extraordinary combination of ceramic and fabric, which heralded success through precise market positioning: Marioni offers its clients a range of exclusive products that reference the past but with a touch of charm, reflecting the uniqueness, authenticity, and originality of “made in Italy”.
The 2000s brought consolidation of distribution worldwide and the beginning of an organizational and managerial evolution that prepared the company to face new digital challenges, including the creation of a 3D archive of models ready for AR/VR experiences.
In 2018, Vittoria, the founder’s eldest daughter, joined the company as Head of Communications and Quality, marking further generational evolution. This way, the company continues to build on fifty years of experience, where artisanal production and management concepts are offered to the most sophisticated and demanding clients seeking entirely Italian luxury.
