Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling stylish rugs in Verona, opening their first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, as the modern design of Sartori rugs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These exciting rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open a headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., the modern idea took shape: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and sewn by hand. This process results in a unique and very special rug, a noble material blend that perfectly fits modern environments and contemporary furniture needs.
