The origins of the New York-based Warp & Weft company date back to 2001. It was then that Michael Mandapati decided to establish an exclusive brand. The rugs are made using Himalayan wool yarn, mulberry silk thread, as well as nettle, hemp, or linen. For dyeing, plant-based methods are used, which will surely appeal to those who care about ecology.
Each product is handcrafted in Nepal by highly talented artisans. Afterwards, the rugs are sent to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining their final appearance. Thanks to an increased content of lanolin, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a beautiful sheen.
