The origins of the New York-based company Warp & Weft date back to 2001. It was then that Michael Mandapati decided to establish an exclusive brand. The rugs are made using Himalayan wool yarn, mulberry silk thread, as well as nettle, hemp, or linen. For dyeing, plant-based dyes are used, which will surely appeal to those who care about ecology.
Each product is handcrafted in Nepal by highly talented artisans. Afterwards, the rugs are sent to Switzerland, where they are finished to achieve their final appearance. Thanks to increased lanolin content, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and gain a beautiful sheen.
