The first steps of the New York-based brand Warp & Weft date back to 2001. It was then that Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company specializing in luxury rugs. Their production involves materials such as Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, nettles, hemp, and linen. Plants also play an important role in the dyeing process, which will appeal to those who care about the ecosystem and eco-friendly processing methods.
Each product is handcrafted in Nepal by highly skilled artisans. The rugs are then transported to Switzerland, where they are finished to achieve their final appearance. Thanks to a higher content of lanolin, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and gain a beautiful sheen.
