The pattern on the Esagoni model in the Green color variant consists of hexagons made up of equilateral triangles. These shapes have four different shades: black, gray, light green, and dark green. Although all hexagons are arranged in rows, each is positioned slightly differently.
The GPC brand was created in memory of the outstanding artist from the Apennine Peninsula as a result of a collaboration between Gio Ponti Archives and Amini Carpets.
Inspired by the works of the late Italian architect Gio Ponti, created nearly four decades ago, an exceptional brand was developed. Each rug produced under the GPC logo is handcrafted from natural materials: Tibetan wool and silk.
Vivid colors and first-quality raw materials directly reference Gio Ponti’s work. Geometric patterns and individual shapes such as circles, hexagons, triangles, as well as straight and zigzag lines, also pay homage to his creative style.
Gio Ponti himself, who lived from 1891 to 1979, despite many artistic successes, is most commonly associated with the design of the Pirelli skyscraper in his hometown.
Tips:
