The beginnings of Warp & Weft’s New York operation date back to 2001. It was then that Michael Mandapati decided to establish this exceptional place.
Materials used include Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettle, hemp, and linen. For dyeing – plants, which is a very eco-friendly processing method and will surely appeal to those who care about ecology.
Each product is made in Nepal, where highly skilled artisans craft them by hand. Afterwards, the rugs are transported to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to increased lanolin content, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a distinctive shine.
