These sheep graze at altitudes above 14,000 feet above sea level. Their wool is rich in lanolin, which makes Odegard Carpets rugs and kilims more stain-resistant.
Intense shades result from manual processing and dyeing. Inspiration for creating rugs comes from a combination of Venetian textiles, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and nature. Many patterns are inspired by tropical leaf shapes or the colors of the sunset over the picturesque Himalayan peaks.
All rugs of this brand are handmade from carefully selected silk and Himalayan wool yarns. The dyeing process is fully natural. Organic materials such as nuts, roots, or saffron are used, while maintaining the highest quality.
