The company was founded in 1987, revolutionizing the world of weaving craftsmanship. It often uses Himalayan wool sourced from local sheep. These sheep graze at altitudes above 4200 meters, and their wool is rich in lanolin. This unique property makes Odegard Carpets wool rugs more stain-resistant.
Interesting colors are the result of manual processing and dyeing. Inspirations are drawn from a combination of Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, and architecture. Many patterns are inspired by tropical leaf shapes or the subtle hues of the setting sun over snowy Himalayan peaks.
All rugs of this brand are handcrafted from silk and Himalayan wool yarns. The dyeing process is entirely natural. Only organic materials—nuts, roots, or saffron—are used, ensuring the highest quality.
