Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling exquisite rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the innovative Sartori rug pattern started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to establish headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Building on collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., this innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. In this way, a unique and very special rug is created—a noble material blend that fits perfectly into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.
