Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and a centuries-old tradition of hand-tied knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when Sartori's innovative rug designs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its Italian market designs worldwide. These elegant rugs gained recognition across the globe, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Building on collaborations with Diesel S.p.a., this innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and very special rug, a synthesis of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.
