Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and a centuries-old tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the modern design of Sartori rugs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These exciting rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a coveted item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it became necessary to open a headquarters in China. A significant project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This gave rise to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly suits contemporary environments and modern furniture needs.
