Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling exquisite rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the modern design of Sartori rugs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it became necessary to open headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Following collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and sewn by hand. This results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that fits perfectly into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.

Absolutely all our rugs are handcrafted entirely using high-quality noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
