Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling wonderful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, the second in Rovigo, selling home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the modern design of Sartori carpets started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These elegant carpets gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it required opening a headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved the way: using old carpets to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special carpet, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.

All our carpets are entirely handmade using high-quality noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
