In his paintings, master Stefano Iannone idealizes a future that is as uncertain as it is joyful, unsettling because it is unknown, yet simultaneously calming and “heavenly”. The material gains a fighting spirit, with intense patches and vivid colors, almost like fire, and from the same hypnotic passion, his cosmic cities are born: a megametropolis where the observer, almost delighted, traverses unspoiled and desert-like spaces.
Neapolitan master, using “mixed media” and sometimes employing various materials, transforms the project of a perfect society into art cast in an indeterminate space-time dimension, where people should be able to achieve full harmonious coexistence, because “above all, we must learn not to fear utopia, since every progress of humanity was a utopia before it was realized, that is, before it matured to the point of realization”.
