This painting by A. Granati is a reinterpretation of the painting "Seaport 1763" by the great master Claude Joseph Vernet. Vernet, representing nature, left wide spaces for the sky as well as scenes of everyday life that animated various places. Perhaps no landscape or marine painter ever treated human figures the way Vernet did. The fundamental elements of the depicted scenes are considered important factors in the overall composition.
