Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for high-quality design and a centuries-old tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the modern design of Sartori rugs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These exciting rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming coveted items in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., the innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, aligned with a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and highly distinctive rug, combining noble materials and perfectly suited to contemporary environments and modern furniture needs.
